About Azure release updates
The latest entries from the official Azure Updates feed, refreshed twice a day, so you can scan what changed without leaving the site.
Reading the announcements
- In preview — usable but not covered by an SLA, and the shape of the service can still change.
- Generally available — production-ready, under SLA, and safe to standardise on.
- Retirement — the entries worth reading first, since they come with a deadline and eventually force work.
Good to know
Features roll out region by region, so an announcement does not mean immediate availability everywhere. Retirement notices usually give twelve months or more of notice; tracking them as they appear is far cheaper than discovering a deadline weeks before it lands. The same information is available directly from the Azure Updates page and its RSS feed.
